About me

My name is Elliot Stjernqvist and I'm 16 years old. I'm currently in high school studying the tech programme to become a Master of Science in Engineering. In my spare time I love to do archery, and this site is about my archery life.

I found my interest for archery thanks to a book series called "Ranger's Apprentice". I always felt a calling to archery and I started to shoot at home with homemade bows. In 2016 I decided to take the next step and join an archery club, Huddinge Bågskytteklubb. I quickly realized that I had found my "thing" and I improved rapidly and shot my first competition within a month. Through archery I found a self confidence that I had never had before and in that way my discovery of archery was most likely the most important turning point in my life.

Today I train and compete in archery at "Elite" level and i train 4-5 days and 7-9 hours per week. During my career I have two junior championship silvers and I've also won Swedens largest non championship competition. Even though I love winning medals that's not my source of motivation for training so much, I love the feeling of pulling back the bow and shooting a perfect shot, and that feeling is my motivation for training so much.

In the future I hope to be able to continue to develop as an archer and get a spot on the Swedish national team. I also hope to be able to represent Sweden abroad and participate in the world's largest archery competition, "The Vegas Shoot". I also hope to be able to be the first Swedish olympic medalist in many years.

Lastly I also hope to be able to develop archery in Sweden so that I might potentially be able to live off it, something that is not possible for Swedish archers today.
